City Youth Music
City Youth Music is a voluntary community group, run by parents and young people. We aim to create opportunities for young people, under the age of 18, to perform, participate and listen to live music, outside home and school. Young people perform in small venues like local cafes, community centres, Armstrong Bridge Food Market once a month, and various events in Jesmond Festival. We also hold larger events in Jesmond Cricket Club and in the O2 Academy. We run workshops for young people on developing confidence in their playing and introductory workshops on how to do sound for public events.
