Babies babble and play
Support your baby's development through music and movement, 0-12 months, Monday, Wednesdy and Thursday, £2.50 per session.
Under 5s music making
Designed to support your child to develop essential musical and social skills, daily, £2.50 per session for 10 sessions or more.
Family ukulele band
No previous experience needed, promoting development of musical skills such as basic music theory, fine motor skills, rhythm, movement, ensemble playing, singing and pitch awareness. for 5-8 year olds with parents/carers and younger and older siblings. £12 for 4 tickets, must include at least one child.
Young musicians programme, for aspiring young musicians aged 4-19
Musical foundations, ages 4-5, through a progressive series of musical games, songs, rhymes and movement activities, children acquire the musical skills which they will later draw on when they learn to play a musical instrument. Sessions last 45 minutes. Saturday mornings, January - July, £66 per term.
Foundation strings programme
ages 5-8, instrumental string programme integrating movement, singing and instrumental learning. Saturday mornings, 9.15-1pm. Small stock of instruments available for hire. Termly fees, £220 years 1 and 2, £310 year 3.
Step-up strings
for young people to develop their skills in violin, viola, cello and double bass. Individual lessons, small group ensembles and string orchestra. Termly fees, (30 minute lessons) £340, (45 minute lessons) £435. Means tested grants available for foundation and step-up programme
Centre for advanced training
for young musicians with exceptional potential to receive training in classical, folk, popular and contemporary styles, ages 8-18. Practical studies underpinned with technical and theoretical studies. Individual study areas include music language, wind and brass, strings, keyboard, vocal, percussion, popular and contemporary.
Regional youth ensemble provision
integrated with the centre for advanced training, offering 13-18 year old students performance experiences and opportunities to work with musicians of international standing. Students must audition for ensembles. These include Young Sinfonia, Folkestra, Jambone and Quay Choirs. Costs £285 per term, £850 per year.
School Of Rock and Pop
Music lessons in small groups, to help youngsters develop socially, improve their confidence and inter-personal skills and have access to music without any technical barriers
