Ethan and Zak went to the food market on Armstrong bridge to busk and raise money for the Jesmond Festival. Half an hour after they arrived it started pouring with rain so the performance was cut short, but the time we did have was successful and we plan to have similar performances in the future. About 70 people heard the music, with around 20 stopping to listen for a while.
As part of the Jesmond Community Festival, we put on a gig for bands under 13 at the Jesmond Cricket Club. Esme opened the night by singing Hallelujah and playing the piano, followed by some more upbeat songs from Maxine. We also had a band from Rock Project Juniors with famous rock songs throughout the ages, as well as the Distance, who played songs by Imagine Dragons and one of their own compositions. Overall the venue was quite full, with around 80 people coming to listen. Ten young people performed.
