As part of the Jesmond Festival, we had a jam-packed evening, featuring a huge array of talented young musicians at the Cricket Club in Jesmond, including Daisy, the winner of Jesmond's Got Talent. The evening started off with Maxine, who has supported us for a number of years now and is growing into a wonderful young singer. She was followed by the Distance, again a talented group of young musicians who frequently busk and raise money for us. Then we had Max on the trumpet and Austin on the saxophone, who met recently at the launch of the Jesmond festival. We then listened to lots of talented performers from Newcastle Rock Project, including both the senior and junior bands. They were followed by Daisy, singing a splendid rendition of songs, increasing in confidence with each of them. She is going to be a gem in the future. And finally, the evening was rounded off with our most popular band at present, Flat Stanleys. 21 boys and 7 girls, 28 performers in total. Audience members came and went as we were competing with a junior cricket match, but there were about 80 audience members.
